Just an entirely normal dog engulfed in a down comforter.

Just an entirely normal dog engulfed in a down comforter.

ever since school started up my crazy has been turned up to 11.  every time i think i’m getting a handle on it somehing tweaks it out of whack again.  what to do, what to do.

I'm an asshole.

I just put my dog in halloween themed spiderweb doggie pajamas from Target.  They glow in the dark.  You know, because the poor animal wasn’t ridiculous enough without them.  But we also got her a new toy and a half dozen tennis balls (no raquetballs - wtf?) so that kind of evens it out.

I got myself a new insulated lunch bag as the one I had didn’t hold enough food.  I also got two sports bras on sale because I wear a sports bra (and yoga pants) way too many days in each week.  I got some new games for wholesome family fun: Life, Monopoly, Yahtzee, and Jenga.  Owen bought himself the latest & greatest nerf rapid fire dart gun thingy.  All of these are far better purchases than the recorders Liam got the kids at the dollar store yesterday.

I finished the sweater I was working on and I hope I like it once I weave in the ends and block it.  I’m busting out two hats before I finish the second sock that got put on hold when it was part of a pose.  Next up will be Raul’s red socks so long as I can get some good foot measurements.  Perhaps after that some fingerless gloves/armwarmers.  Then a long skinny cowl to be looped a million times around my neck.  And so many socks of varying heights.  I love love love knitting and want to do it all the time.

I loved Bill.  I miss him.  I would hang out with him while Liam was working and stay way too late.  Liam would call and I’d say I was leaving, then I’d decide to accept Bill’s offer for one more beer.  Liam would call again.  Eventually I’d head home.  He would come and rescue me when I was stuck with a flat tire on the side of 95.  He didn’t have one negative thing to say when Liam and I told him we were getting married even though we were 20 and 21 at the time.  Instead his eyes lit up and he was happy about it.  When Rob got married and I was not at the family table (to make room for the 3 priests) he insisted he be seated with me and refused to sit at the family table.  I miss his laugh and that twinkle in his eyes when there was mischief in his mind.  Owen adored him and as far as he was concerned, Owen could do no wrong.  He even let Owen sit in his Cord completely naked.  I was terrified he was going to pee in it, but Bill insisted it was fine.   Esme has his eyes.  And apparently his hearing.

Because normal dogs do this, right?

Because normal dogs do this, right?

after all day in her crate Mavis seems to be part mountain goat.  they have those in Peru, right?

Right now I’m waiting for the gi tops to be finished in the washer so I can hang them to dry before bed.  I had an awesome night at work.  The professor showed slides at the beginning of class.  While waiting I fell asleep on the stand.  When the class came back in and I started to stir the students immediately told me not to move.  So I went back to sleep.  I love being able to sleep in a pose.

Tomorrow I have a drawing II class at 8, and I’ve been asked to wear horizontal stripes.  This should be interesting.  I’m looking forward to hearing what the professor has to say during the class.  Following that is the painting II class where I will do an hour or so of the standing pose that is killling my hip before changing to a stand/sitting pose with a stool to avoid more irritation of my hips.

Liam picked up my sneakers at the ups depot today.  I was getting worried about the weather getting colder and the only shoes that give me enough support are the chaco sandals.

The washer is done, I go to bed now.
